Day 1 has begun.
I feel like it should be over, but we still have another 40ish miles of Iowa and then the whole state of Nebraska to get through. This is a heck of a lot of driving.
So far all is good. We were on the road right at 7.
Zak had done an amazing job packing that actually leaving the house was easy.
The first stop (we decided that the Dunkin Donuts in Brookfield didn’t count as a stop) was the World’s Largest Truck Stop. That was mostly fun because it had a Caribou Coffee.
Zak and Zoe did a nice job writing about the Herbert Hoover National Site. It was very sweet and broke up the morning a bit.
We did pb&j and cheetos for lunch in the car.
Now Ellie is napping.
So that’s it. Pretty boring. Actually ridiculously boring.
