Today was a very exciting day. We started by waking up at 6:30 and driving to the visitors center. We waited on the bench for about five minutes and then a ranger came and she said thatwe would help her with planting seeds and picking weeds. We started by going over to a very rocky spot. There we got shovels and started to dig up the rocks. It was hard because I think beneath the rock there was concrete. We drove in the truck and picked up soil to put on the area where the rocks were. We drove back and put it where the rocks had been. Then we put some grass seeds down. We put down some mulch and then we went to the rangers only spot where they have lunch. After having lunch we went outside and started to weed. The weeds looked like dill. It was hard to get the big ones, easy to get the medium ones, and hard to get the little ones. We filled three bags. Then we went on a little hike. We went on a trail that was crossed off, but because we were with a ranger it was ok. Zoe was freaking out. We got to see a fast flowing river. We were looking for rush plants so the ranger could come back and harvest the seeds later. After the little walk we went back to the car and changed shoes. We are now on a one and a half hour drive in the clouds. We have seen moose and elk. We have also seen waterfalls.
