The Eighth Day

Today was a very strenuous day. It was hot, sweaty, and hard. But once again all the views were five stars. We saw beautiful hoogie thingies. We got to go inside them. We hiked up, down, all around. We saw chipmunks digging, picking flowers. Oh the beautiful sights of them. We saw black and white horses. We saw grey ones too. We took pictures by signs. The rocks were so big. The trees were so fluffy. My legs were sore. My arms too. I pushed through the woods with my hiking sticks. Oh the colors we saw in the beautiful rocks faded to each other. The time was twelve, only six more miles to go. We had a beautiful lunch. Chicken tenders, pastas, sandwiches, salads, and more. We finished at 4:30, spotting Fred through the woods. We hopped into the car, changed our shoes, and went to our cabin that was only 5 miles away. We took some warm/cold showers, sat on porch, enjoyed some tea, listened to the sheep baa. And now we are in bed all cozy.

  1. Hi Ellie,
Sounds like you had a super cool day. I especially like your description of the trees being “fluffy”. They must have been very pretty. I cannot aee any of your slide shows but I think I can picture some of your descriptions.
Glad for the good lunch you had to keep you strong on your climbs.
Who is “Fred” that you spotted? Was it a bear?
Don’t you just love a nice shower and to be able to sit on a porch just to relax? I sure would.
Wishing you sweetie dreams and a cozy night.
    BLessings,
    Joanie Kenning
