Day 2

Well we officially made it to Colby, Kansas. Our last stop before Colorado. Today feathered everything from twine to PB&J, so I think you can imagine what kind of a day it was. At 7:00 this morning the alarms started sounding and the day started ( yes I am aware that in my post yesterday I said that it was the last day I would hear a alarm for off but, This was my parents not mine). Then after a quick shower and some Kimpton coffee for my parents we hit the road. We grabbed some breakfast out of the trunk before we left and for the first breakfast of the trip I got to indulge in a coconut cliff bar. With day off to a great start we headed out to the first stop of the day. After a little bit of freaking out that we were not going to make it to the nearest gas station before Fred died Everything went smoothly. Our first stop of the day was a homestead if I’m being completely honest I have almost no idea what this is but, we did some walking around in a a forest and around a big field. We did another two hours of driving ( I spent most of this time listening to Olivia Rodrigo’s Sour album and playing Subway surfers) We also had lunch and if you have been reading the blog for awhile then you know that we are required to eat Peanut butter and jelly with Cheetos everyday for lunch it gets VERY repetitive after even one bit we kept going and then we made it to the “World’s largest ball of twine” I have my doubts on weather it is actually the biggest but nonetheless It was a spot to stop and stretch our legs. We did not spend much time here because there is literally nothing to do so, we continued on to the next stop. This was Nicodemus It was good we did some walking around in the town and visitor center and sooner then later we got back on the road and did the final stretch of the driving. We were soon pulling into to the parking lot of the first holiday inn of the road trip and after checking in, we went outside to enjoy a snack write blog posts. Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, It’s about learning how to dance in the rain- Vivian Greene
