The Fourth

We had a fabulous holiday.  The day started with some iced coffee from Dunkin Doughnuts…I told you it was fabulous!  We then went to the Brookfield Parade.  They have the most fire engines and police cars than any other parade I’ve been too.  I would say there are at least 25 fire engines leading the parade with their sirens blaring.  Zoe was not scared at all and really enjoyed waving to them all.  The rest of the parade was nice, a bit long, especially to be sitting in the hot sun, but fun enough.  Zoe got some Smarties, so she was happy.  In the evening we went to a BBQ at the home of some friends of ours.  There were seven kids from three years old to six weeks old, and Zoe loved playing with them and all the backyard toys that we don’t have.  We had talked about trying to get to the fireworks, but it turns out that Brookfield does their fireworks in August.  Odd.
