Yesterday Zoe and I met up with my parents on a (much delayed) Metra line downtown. (Zak was finalizing the paper mache project.) They were spending the night down there, but we went down for the day. We spent the afternoon and Millennium Park and had a great lunch at the Park Cafe. Then we went to The Crown Fountain and put on Zoe’s suit and swim shoes. At first she was a bit nervous to play in the water, but soon realized how much fun it could be. She kicked, creating huge splashes. She put her head down, getting her hair all wet and cool. She laid down, drenching her back. She sat, giggling lots. She had a lot of fun, amusing all. It was a perfect afternoon!
