At lunchtime today, I had just made and cut Zoe’s hummus sandwich, while Zak and I were finishing our lunches. Out of the corner of my eye, I notice Zoe pushing a chair from the kitchen table toward the counter. She pulls herself on top of the chair, reaches out, and starts jamming pieces of sandwich into her mouth. I tell Zak that she is so smart to figure out a way to get those few bites that just couldn’t have waited a few more minutes. He responds by saying, “Yeah, we’re going to have to send her to either smart camp or fat camp.”
Please note: We both think that Zoe is the most beautiful creature ever and by no means think that she is fat. She just loves food. Which is a good thing she’s part of this family, because Zak and I are not ones to pass up food. Ever.
