“‘Cause it’s a little bit of everything”
Dawes
We’d planned on doing a couple shorter hikes today, but as the rain settled in and Ellie pointed out that all of our muscles were still sore from the last few days we settled for just one. It was a good one though! We visited Morning Glory Natural Bridge, a wonder I only heard about for the first time yesterday. For being so close to Moab the trail was mercifully empty, maybe a dozen other groups throughout our time there. It was also a fun trail. There were numerous river crossings and a few rocks to climb on. It culminated at the arch and we were able to watch as people repelled from the cliff behind it. I thought the coolest part was the steady stream of water pouring from a crack in the rock behind the arch. It was like a secret underground river was just coming to the surface.
The rest of the day was a mix of lots of other things: coffee, crochet, paying bills, doing laundry, tacos. Not a bad way to spend a day.
That sounds like a perfect day!! Just to see water in Moab (besides a fabulous pool and the CO River) sounds like a miracle to me. Also, glad to hear you’re doing laundry again 🙂
