Today started with another great sleep in and continued with holiday inn breakfast. We then headed up to the hotel room and packed up. We took our time as we were really in no rush today and after one final sweep through of the room we headed down to the car where we drove to the property and packed up our tents we also loaded them into our backpacking bags Because today is the first day we backpacked. Once we we were all packed we started the 2 and a half hour drive to canyon lands. An hour and a half went by and we pulled over for lunch I had a bbq sandwich. We finished up the drive and pulled into the trailhead parking lot. We grabbed our freshly loaded packs and got on the trail. It was hard there was a lot on up and down and walking on steep rock shelf’s. Also my legs were still sour from the 14 miles yesterday. We did eventually make it to our campsite for the night and had beef jerky and got into tents.
