Wow, it’s been a long time since I’ve written an update. I’ve been doing a lot of the driving the past couple days and we’ve been getting into hotels late, but thanks to Mol for her updates. LA was a lot of fun, it was great to spend a couple days lounging on the beach. We also had one of our most memorable family meals (in a good way) at the Ayres Hotel. The food was great, kids well behaved, and outdoor seating perfect. It was too bad we couldn’t spend more time there. It was also great to see Jodi, how fun to meet up with someone on the other side of the country.
Yosemite was beautiful, I’m excited to see/post the pictures when we get home. The wateralls were so amazing, I’m glad we happened to be here the time of year we were. None of us could believe the amount of snow there was (feet high) at the end of June. Of course this meant the waterfalls, rivers, and rapids were at their peak as it continues to melt.
We’re in for a long day today though. We’re currently in northeast Nevada. The goal is to make it to within a couple hours of Mount Rushmore by tonight so we can do that tomorrow morning.
