January 7th, 2008. A fabulous day. Zoe and I went to Starbucks. We split a muffin, she had ice water, and I had a fun coffee drink. It was a pretty warm day. We walked around downtown LaGrange and made our way to Y and Z Kids. It was just the two of us. I bought Zoe a fun new bow for her hair. A women in Starbucks commented on Zoe’s cuteness and asked when I was due. Tomorrow. It was the last day of just Zoe and me. It was such a fun and special day.
January 7th, 2009. A fabulous day. Zoe was at school. Ellie and I went to Caribou Coffee. We split a slice of lemon poppy seed loaf, she had ice water, and I had a coffee. It was a cold morning. We walked around downtown LaGrange and made our way to Y and Z Kids. It was just the two of us. I bought Ellie her very first bow for her hair. A women in Caribou Coffee commented on Ellie’s cuteness and walking and asked how old she is. One. Tomorrow. It was such a fun and special morning.
What a difference a year makes.
