It’s 100% official! Ellie is a walker! She now actually prefers walking over crawling and moves in a vertical position at least half the time. I guess this is a good thing, but it kind of makes me sad. I know that over the next few days and weeks the crawling will continue to decline. And I just love the way she crawls. The sound of her moving across the room on all fours, usually holding a toy that makes a rhythmic cla-chunk each stride. The way she speeds up as we chase after her. The determination to get to our arms if she’s sad, regardless of countless toy obstacles. I’ll miss it all a lot, but am excited for the new adventures walking will bring.
