We’ve had another wonderful day. It started with a very lovely continental breakfast in our posh hotel and then a wonderful morning at the beach. We were at Manhattan Beach which is so beautiful. Zoe and Ellie loved watching the dozen or so surfers that were in the water the whole time we were there. What athletes! Again the girls loved the water and sand and made countless sand castles. I could really see us as an ocean family…maybe someday.
We met a longtime friend of ours for lunch at a delightful pancake house known for their buckwheat pancakes (they were fabulous!) Our friend Jodi is a producer for Marvel and shared awesome Hollywood stories with us. It was so nice to catch up in person and lunch with a familiar face.
After lunch we drove up Hollywood Boulevard and ooed and ahhed at all the stars on the walkway. We sat in some crazy LA traffic for awhile and are now on the road toward Yosemite. We won’t get in until 10 or so, so it’s going to be a long evening. Unfortunately, the harddrive on my computer, which has been our DVD player, crashed, so we’re without entertainment for the kids other than coloring and the Ironman 2 toys from Jodi. Wish us luck! 🙂
