Hello! We’ve had a great day considreing we’ve been driving 8 hours. The girls are rockstars in the car. There have only been a few minor meltdowns, but all and all they’re happy with snacks, dvds, and coloring.
We headed out of Colorado this morning. I think Colorado is one of the most beautiful states ever. Breathtaking. I’ll write more about that later though.
We drove all morning, stopping only once when we spotted the last Starbucks in Colorado. The girls and I really enjoyed those frappachinos!
About 1 we got to Arches National Park in Utah. We found a random large rock and had a nice picnic lunch among the huge rock structures. We drove around and found a nice hike that we could all do. We worked our way up the rocks to these huge natural red arches. Zoe did the whole hike herself (about a mile or so) while Zak did the whole hike with Ellie on his shoulders! We got to the top and Ellie shouted “We did it!!!”
The park was gorgeous, but we had to get more miles covered, so we hopped back in the car, the girls napped, and Zak drove us through the barren Utah landscape.
We’re about 30 minutes from our destination of Beaver, Utah. We’re all having such a wonderful time and kind of don’t really want to go home! Day 4 and we all still love each other and aren’t going nuts! Hoping the rest goes as smoothly!! 🙂
