. . . is the rooting reflex. I mean I get that they need a way to tell us their hungry, but the way they do it just doesn’t make any sense. It’s like Ellie really believes that if she can get her head far enough back and to the side food will magically appear there. It’s almost like she thinks that maybe she’ll be able to screw her head right off her body. Anyway, the crazy part about the whole thing is that anytime she is actually eating it’s right there in front of her. It’s not like Molly makes the poor kid go on a scavenger hunt before she’s allowed to eat.
