Saguaro National Park

I wrote this yesterday but forgot to publish it:

Because I want to jump in the pool this isn’t going to be the most explicit of posts.

I need to start with breakfast. When you think of hotel breakfast what do you think of? Cereal, yogurt, pancakes? Well this breakfast had made to order omlets, a hot bar which included mini pancakes, french toast, hash browns, and meat. Also they had yogurt, fruit and pasteries. I ended up getting way to much food but it was all delicious.

Saguaro National Park was incredible. The cactus were many feet high. They looked just out of a text book. I didn’t realize that they don’t grow their arms until they are 100-150 years old! The hike we went on was 4 miles and we were the only people there. I was sweating so much and it was 89 degrees. We also did Junior Ranger and I got like a gift bag. It had a certificate, another Junior Ranger book for AZ, a poster, and 10% off any suvenior. I ended up getting prickly pear saltwater Taffy. Now we are going to go swimming.

Swimming was super fun! The best part was wine hour. The kiddies cocktail were ok. But the food was amazing. They had checked mix, spicy chex mix, pretzels, fruits and vegetables. Kimpton you can totally step up your game!!

Dinner tonight is amazing. So awhile back our microwave broke and we never replaced it. Trader Joe’s has this delicious microwave Mac and cheese and our hotel room has a microwave. So guess what TJ’s Mac and cheese for dinner.

  1. Zoe, I had no idea that saguaro didn’t grow arms until they were over 100 years old. I’m learning through your adventures! And it’s always nice to know that my 12 year old granddaughter can compare wine hours at different hotels! Kudos to your parents! Love you and miss you.
