The Boys of Summer

We all pretty much had the same day, so we’re doing a round robin, each taking a turn saying a sentence. Can you guess who started and the order??

Today we did not do a lot. We sat around by the pool. First, we woke up in the ultra-comfy Kimpton bed after not a great night’s sleep due to the screaming newborn in the adjacent room. Hungrily I wondered downstairs to try to secure breakfast for the four of us. We had the continental breakfast again. The continental breakfast is the best continental breakfast in the world, they have bagels with lox and all the fixings, fresh fruits, and pastries. We enjoyed it in the lovely cabana as we watched the waves come ashore.

Next, we desended to the turquoise waters of the Atlantic to take pictures of each other frolicking merrily on the beach.

Then we went swimming. At the pool we did synchronized swimming. We also laid on the quite uncomfortable chairs and read. My dad, since he is the beat dad ever, played in the pool with us. Because I am the best mom ever I also got in the pool and played. I watched the girls do a lot of handstands. Mom drank a lot of rum and cokes. Zoe set a new world record for longest synchronized swimming performance. Because I am the best the mom ever I was able to watch Zoe’s long routines and not get annoyed until the third one. The girls kept bumping into me, it was annoying.

Our late checkout of two, turned out to not be late enough. We lazed under the leafy palm fronds until the afternoon sun began turning our skin to an uncomfortable shade of pink. We kept on doing flips for our annoyed family to see. I had iced tea, it tasted very good on this hot day.

As I was listening to Dr. Dre and playing Hearthstone, my beautiful, kind, intellectual, wife suggested it was time to leave. I’ze, like fo’ shizle. Did you remember to shut the barn doors? What? We had a number of changes in our original plan. We did end up having a fabulous happy hour and dinner at Hurricane Alley in Boyton Beach. I decided what I’m going to be for Halloween, a shrimp. I want to be a retro surfer. I enjoyed a soft shell crab sandwich that was to die for. This post seems to be degrading in quality.

The key lime pie was homemade. The delicious morsels of key lime pie were outstanding. I think this would of rankee in the top three of our great Key Lime Pie Contest of spring break 2015 (Osmond Brother Fan Cruise) when we rated every key lime pie in Key West. In any case it was another epic rtxvi day, we truly are the boys of summer.

Disclaimer: We tried messing with you guys, can you figure out our order? I promise we went in a circle and never went out of order.
