Hiking to Artists Point

I’m going to start this post by talking about last night. We were planning on getting some thing from the grocery store and having a little picnic. After the very long car ride we got to the very crowded grocery store. Apperaltly, we were all remembering the store wrong and when we were expecting to find meats and cheeses all we found was lunchables. We decided that we must’ve been thinking of the other grocery store. After another long drive we found a better selection but nothing apealed to us anymore. We decided to go back to the hotel and share a bunch of appetizers. So 2 hours later we shared a salad, veggie plate, giant pretzel, and chips with salsa, guacamole, and cheese.

This morning I slept in really well because I had my own pull out couch bed. I woke up to my dad getting coffee. When I did get up Ellie was still asleep which never happens.

After we relaxed for a little bit Ellie and my dad went to swim while my mom and I walked around. As we passed by the pool Ellie and my dad convinced me to get in with them. It was super fun to say that I went swimming in Yosemite.

After our last shower with the highest water pressure you have ever imagined we were on the road.

The hike that we planned for today if very unpopulated. The trail is the former Old Wawona Road. It is very unmaintained. There were trees and giant rocks and waterfalls lying across the “trail”. When we got to the top it was beautiful. There were views of El Capitan, Half Dome, Bridalvail Falls, and so much more beautiful things. After we hiked back down we decided to do another walk to Bridalvail Falls. The end of the trail could be described as being in “a wet tornado minus the cows”.

After that we picked up an orange Fanta and checked into our Yurt and moved all of our food again. Tonight we have a very exciting dinner planned in the Dining Room
