Another Kimpton!!

This morning we woke up after our alarms. In my defense I didn’t hear it go off. When we checked out I got my last cup of iced tea at the Palomar.

The first stop was Montuzumi Castle. The Castle itself was beautiful. It was in an alcove kind of like all the other ones we have seen. The part that amazed me most was Palace A. It was amazing to see how big it would have been. Also a volunteer told us that the CCC rebuilt it. The trail was only 1/3 of a mile long.

After we went to Montuzumi Well. This was amazing. It is a natural 55 foot deep well. There were 4 species of animals that live in it that are found nowhere else in the world. When we were getting Jr ranger I started not feeling well and left to go in the air conditioned car.

After we went to Tuzigoot. We went to the visitors center and saw over 50 pieces of pottery that they found in the ruins. As we were walking out to see it a volunteer named Brian said he would give us a tour. It was amazing. We got to go in a reconstructed model of what a room would have looked like. We also learned that the modern day Hopi come and rebuild the walls.

After we went to the hotel. Ellie and I went swimming while my parents took naps/relaxed in the room. Dinner was super fun. They said that we could either wait an hour and a half or sit at the couch. We sat on the couch and had a delicious dinner. Now my mom and I are sitting by the pool while my dad and E are swimming.
