“One day we’ll all be free” -Matisyahu
Not even one day, but less than 12 hours until we’re on the road! The last few days have been a blur of finishing school and preparing for #RTXVIII, but our bags are packed and we’re ready to go. The house is cleaned, the lawn is mowed, every nook of Fred has been utilized in some way.
There really isn’t much to say here except that as I know I’ve written several times before, these trips are the best part of the year and I’m ready to get started. I feel like this year we have some making up for last summer to do as well.
Tomorrow we’ll head South and West through Illinois and Missouri to Kansas City. As has become tradition our first stop will be at a former president’s childhood home. We’re shaking it up this year with a new president. Look out Harry S. Truman NHS, we’re coming to learn about you! And don’t worry President Hoover, we’ll still make our annual stop at your home later this summer.
As always, we’ll all be writing everyday and there will be lots of pictures as well. There will be NPS themed #ZAKFacts at ZAKFacts.com (become a patron at patreon.com/ZAKFacts for bonus facts!). We love reading everyone’s comments so join in the conversation here or at facebook.com/UntanglingKnotts. Tag your friends, set your bookmarks, follow the tweets, hashtag the posts, and all that other goodness. Most importantly get ready to come along on an awesome summer adventure!
