Yesterday we went to the zoo and we took Zoe to the dolphin show for the first time ever in her life. The timing of the show just happened to be around lunchtime, so I imagine she was the only person in the entire arena eating zucchini before the show started. I may be wrong, but it’s highly doubtful. Zoe was intrigued by the dolphins and their tricks, as was the rest of the audience. Each time the crowd would applause; Zoe would look at us very confused. She only hears clapping from us when she does something great (or good, or average.) We are sure that Zoe thought each round of applause was for her. After looking confused for a moment, she would burst out a huge smile and wave her arms frantically. Surely she was thinking, “I don’t have a clue as to what I did, but it must have been marvelous!” This repeated over and over the entire show. Ahh, so darling, you could just eat her right up!
