I’ve been part of a book club since October and really enjoy it a lot. It is a fun mix of girls who all live in the city (including two of my ex-co-workers.) We’ve read a wide variety of books and always chit-chat about the latest Hollywood gossip and reality TV shows.

Zak had class last night, so I brought Zoe along for the first time. She slept for the first couple hours, as it didn’t start until her bedtime, but then randomly woke up. I was slightly concerned she’d freak out by being in a strange place with new voices, but she was perfect!

With the exception of Zoe, we had all read Prep by Curtis Sittenfeld. Zak knew Zoe would be bummed out by being the only one who didn’t start the book, let alone finish it. The previous night Zak read Dr. Suess’s My Many Colored Days and encouraged Zoe to try to discuss that book too. Well, others had heard of it and one gal even remarked that it was a good book. Zoe was satisfied with book club and may even come back next month.
