Kudos to Ellie for keeping this project afloat! She’s definitely the one who complians the most when we make her write, but the only one that did it when it was optional.
It’s been a whirlwind of a couple of weeks. we had a wonderful time with the Stewarts, had a crazy trip back home, and are safely back in Mancos. The best part of being home was seeing so many loved ones in the middle of summer! Who knew summer in Chicago was such a blast!
This morning Zak and I checked out a biking trail system that is new to us. We’ve done several rides at Phil’s World, which is actually world renowned, and super close to us. We’ve been wanting to check out Boggy Draw and the girls wanted to sleep in, so it was a win/win for us all. Boggy Draw is definitely flatter than Phil’s World and lacks the insane sections for tricks and thrills, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t awesome.
The inclines we’re more gradual than Phil’s, but the downhills were awesome with lots of long sections of not needing to pedal at all and we wove through the trees. The ponderosa pines towered over us and offer much needed shade. We ended up doing 13.5 miles and felt we definitely deserved a road trip secret of margaritas.
We’re heading to Arches tomorrow for a quick day trip. It’s really good to be back in the groove of road tripping.

Love hearing about your adventures!
