This morning we woke up on a nice Kimpton bed and we just relaxed at the hotel. My parents drank lots of coffee and we shared a cupcake and poptarts for breakfast. Don’t judge us. We do eat lots of healthy food but, we just couldn’t put those cupcakes the Monaco gave us to waste and well, poptarts were the most accessible thing to grab out of the car before the valet took it.
After we checked out we headed to the Stewart’s house. When we got there at were greeted by familiar faces. Everyone that we know that we are seeing this trip we are seeing within the first five days.
At their house we chatted for a bit before we headed out to lunch. We went to a brewery and I had a reuben. After we finished eating we played pool and pinball while the adults finished eating and talking.
After lunch we went back to their house and went zip lining in their backyard and we also went on a giant swing. It was super fun to feel the wind blowing across your face as you go down the hill.
At about 4:00 we headed to our hotel to get ready for the concert. We all relaxed and then it was time to go.
As we drove up the mountain it was so pretty. The giant red rocks were surrounding us. We pulled I to the parking lot and 6:10 and ate a little snack. At about 6:30 we started to head in. Somehow we ended up in the 3rd row so that was amazing.
At 7:00 the first band came on called The Record Company. They we’re super good and it was especially cool to see them perform with all of the rocks and mountains surrounding them.
Then at 8:30ish Dispatch came on. It was one of the best concerts that I have ever been to. All the different lights bouncing off of the rocks was so cool!! In the middle of the show they performed in the crowd. It was so amazing to be able to see Dispatch at red rocks.
Sorry that this post is so late.
