Today we drove and it was really boring. It will probably be the most boring day of the trip.
I started by waking up at 6:00. I didn’t set an alarm because I naturally wake up early. This morning though I FREAKED out because I thought I slept in late until 8:00 or something because by bedroom was so bright. I looked at my phone and was extremely happy to find out that it was 6:00. Then I realized it was still early and I could have slept for at least another hour. I decided to stay up and I went on my phone before it was time to start the day.
My mom had to work this morning so Ellie, my dad, and I were in charge of doing some last minute packing. Finally, at 8:45 my mom got home from work and we were ready to leave. Except, the laundry was still in the dryer and then it kept on adding more time so we left around 9:15.
We made a quick stop at Dunkin Donuts because my mom needed coffee and all four of us wanted a donut breakfast. Also, HAPPY NATIONAL DONUT DAY!!! In celebration of this holiday Dunkin Donuts was giving out free donuts so we picked up some donuts and were and were off!
The car ride is pretty uneventful. I colored, watched Parks and Rec on Netflix, made bracelets, and that’s pretty much it. We stopped at The Worlds Largest Truck Stop and Herbert Hoovers birthplace where we didn’t do anything except for see the Blacksmith had a triangle. For dinner we went to Thunderhead Brewery for out third time. We shared cheesy bread and pizza which was the perfect way to end the day!
Our plan is to go to bed and rest up for tomorrows car drive and mountain hike!!!!!!
