Bryce Canyon National Park

This morning when we woke up it was 52 outside. Way too cold for Utah! We started by going to breakfast at the hotel. It was called the Thunderbird restaurant. We all had the half portion of the stuffed buscuits and gravy. It had sausage, scrambled eggs, and cheese. And it was delicious.

We drove an hour to Bryce Canyon National Park. Unfortunately, we couldn’t do a 14 mile home like last time but it was still 7.5 miles. We did a figure 8. I’m not exactly sure about the order but we did the Navajo Loop, Queens Garden, Wall Street and probably more. We realized why the Bryce hike is so hard is because it is either straight of straight down. There is no flat. Zero, none, no flat. After the beautiful hike we went to the Lodge for lunch. Ellie and I got the buffet because it was a steel: 9 dollars for unlimited fried chicken, mashed potatoes, pasta, corn, great beans, and gravy from the hot bar. Seafood chowder, a salad bar, and fruit salad. A disgusting dessert that I didn’t eat (it was banana pudding) and pop. Pretty good.

After we drove to Tropic where ellie and I spent the afternoon making videos that may or may not make it to the blog. It was a very fun day.

  1. I’m enjoying reading about all your adventures and all the good food you’ve been eating. Thanks for the postcard, it was nice to find it in the mail when I got back from vacation (only a week for me!). Have fun!!
