Another Mountain!

Last night I got the best sleep I had all trip. The bed was ridiculously comfy. When I woke up after way too much sleep I discovered it was only 6. After a couple rounds of Phase 10 with Ellie we started heading toward Cornado National Memorial. I didn’t really pay attention to the historic stuff so I can’t tell you much about Cornado other than that he used a step counter.

We were supposed to just climb Cornado Peak. 300 feet over .4 miles but instead we walked all the way down to the border. The U.S.-Mexico border was a chain link fence dividing the countries. And guess what there were no people begging to come in. Anyway the hike was beautiful. We saw countless road runners and insects. After getting our 13th Junior Ranger of the trip we got In and Out!!! It was delicious. Sadly it is probably the only time we will get it this trip.
