This morning when we woke up we went straight out for breakfast. We went to a cute little restaurant which had very delicious (and spicy) food. I had a breakfast burrito with red chilli sauce. It also came with potatoes and a bakery basket which was amazing. In it was 2 banana muffins, 2 corn muffins, 3 blueberry muffins, and 3 biscuits. I love them all (especially the biscuits) except for the corn muffin but I don’t like corn bread, or corn dogs, or anything with the word corn in it except for corn on the cob. Then the actual food came out and it was decilously spicy and huge.
After breakfast we went to the Georgia O’Keefe museum. That was very cool. We saw many of her paintings and learned about her life. I was very jealous when they showed all of her painting and sketching stuff. We also saw some of the bones that she collected.
After the museum we drove back to Santa Fe and hiked at petroglyphs. The rest of my family said I was moody but I couldn’t breath it was so hot and the air was so then. Within 1 minutes of the hike I was drenched in sweat. This was the type of sweat that is super embarrassing and you can see through your shirt. Also, I’ve never been this sunburnt. I can get burnt ANYWHERE even if I put on layers and layers of sunscreen. And hen the worst part is it peals. Anyway we saw so many petroglyphs no pictographs though. I read that there are over 20,000 of them in the park which is amazing. It is also amazing of how close you can get to them. My favorite was an upside down guy with his leg squiggly lines.
After that home we went Lotaburger🍔 my dad and I shared one with green chillies on it was deliciously spicy. That is how all the food here is. Then we went on another little hike. This one there were even more petroglyphs.
When we got to the hotel we went swimming and now we are going out to dinner.
Dinner was amazing. Not only the dinner but the whole setting was and once again the food was decilously spicy. So this guy named Ben Michael built a restaurant. Like cut down trees and made the dirt. Then he turned it in to a restaurant. So we walked in and were the only ones in there. A very friendly dog and a very friendly person greeted us. The person was Ben Michael and was the only guy who worked there. We got sat down and told us the menu.
Pork Enchiladas
Chicken Enchiladas
Vegetarian Enchiladas
Cheese Enchiladas
Chips and salsa
We started with chips and salsa. Ellie and I got mint tea and we saw him come back in from his garden with a handful of mint. That’s how legit it was. Then the guy asked Ellie what type of music she liked so she said Echosmith. Then he played an Echosmith track. There is way too much to write about so I’m not going to say everything thing because someone else will. Anyway we got pork & chicken enchiladas. We also got flan for dessert. You should totally go if your ever in Albuquerque
It has been a very fun, exciting, and interesting.
OH good, when I go with you to Albuquerque I’ll eat your white corn flavored thing at Ben Michael. 🙂
