In New Mexico!! (Also Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas)

It’s 10:57 and we’ve already done so much. We set our alarms for 7 I got up before that Ellie right then and my parents well they snoozed their alarms like normal. When my mom and dad finally were ready we ate breakfast I couldn’t decide between biscuits and gravy or a cinnamon roll so I got both. Then I felt like I needed something healthy so I had a bit of a disgusting apple.

After breakfast we made the half hour Drive to Brown v. Board of Education. It was very interesting. We learned about the history of the the school and the case. It was so intreging. We got to see the kindergarten classroom and they had a fireplace in it. We walked around the museum which was very sad.

When we got in the car we had PBJ&C which was normal. We drove to Fort Larned which was very interesting. We walked around and got to see inside the cabins. There was this one very passionate ranger who took us into the barracks. We got to see the beds and their uniforms. Ellie and I also tried them on which was very hot. Also we got the see the blacksmith, hospital, school, and bakery all which were very interesting.

Now we are in the car all driving drinking cold pop. We have 4 and a Half hours left. So far the day has been amazing.

It’s been about 6 hours since we left the fort but it’s confusing because it’s 8:36 New Mexico time but we left at 3 Illinois/Kansas time. It’s too confusing. But anyway we were going to go to a Taco Truck but it was closed so we were going to go to another taco place but it was closed so instead we went to a place called 87 Restaurant.

This is a longer explanation so it gets its own paragraph. We chose 87 Restaurant because it had the most cars. Imagine walking into an empty room with wooden floors and wood tables. yep. Well one nice server started out got our drink orders water, and got us some chips. Then like 15 minutes later another waiter came and said so sorry for the wait blah blah blah, Anyway she was our new server. She also said more stuff about the wild fires. The tacos were fine but not what I was picturing for a South-western taco.

It has been a good day but I think tomorrow is going to be even better but hotter with all the hiking we are going to do.

  1. 2 important questions: What is the C in PBJ&C??? Cheese? Corn? Carrots? Cabbage? Cauliflower? Capers? Crumpets? Cinnamon? Cake? Cupcakes? Candy???

Where were the people that go with those cars? Please tell me a tumbleweed rolled by when you noticed there were no people…
