California

I just read Mol’s post and she did a pretty nice job summing on the day so this post will probably be pretty brief. It was a very nice day in south Florida today. Amazing breakfast on the patio overlooking the ocean. Then swimming in the ocean. A Cuban diner for dinner. More swimming, but in the pool, and since we’re at another Kimpton plenty to drink all day long.

The girls were having a hard time writing post earlier today since as they put it “we didn’t do anything”. Mol encouraged them to write about some small moments, since we did, in fact, do many things. As I sit writing this now I’m in the same position as them so here’s my small moments.

1. There was a lady with a monkey checking into the hotel tonight. I found that odd. However, my biggest concern was that Molly wasn’t going to allow monkey to be entered into our animals list because of some technicality or other. Fortunately, she easily agreed that it would be alright to include.

2. Miami is another weird town. Not nearly as strange as Denver, but it’s got to be up there. It’s kind a weird mix of Las Vegas and Los Angeles, but with a Denver twist.

3. We’ll be home one week from today. I’m not quite sure what to make of that. On one hand it’ll be nice to be at home. I think it’ll also be a shock to all our systems though. Those first couple days will probably be rough ones. Maybe we’d be better off just shoot past Chicago once again and heading for California.
