On Sunday we watched and celebrated the Bears’ victory at my parents house with the only people I know how to watch the Bears with, the Ebys and Volkenings, long time family friends. Zoe was decked out in her Bear socks and proudly wore her new orange and blue polo. She enjoyed the game, in spite of the numerous shouts of joy and frustration. Near the end of the game we taught Zoe a new skill and now she is a pro at it. When someone says, “Touchdown,” Zoe immediately throws her arms in the air, mimicking the referees! It’s a great new trick to know! So darling!
Disclaimer: When Zoe was first born Zak and I agreed that we would not make Zoe feel any pressure to cheer for the Bears or the Packers, unless the team was in the playoffs. So now is my big chance to ingrain the team spirit of Chicago!
