Hello to all!

It’s been a while since I’ve written here, so I’m sure you’re all anxiously awaiting whatever it is I have to say. Fortunatly, Molly has done a great job of keeping this up-to-date here recently.

First the good Zoe news: she had her appointment with the cariologist last night and everything is fine in her heart. He said she has an “innocent murmur” which apparantly means that it’s just the normal sound of blood in an infant’s heart. In older children and adults it can still be there, but it just isn’t heard because the heart muscle and chest wall are both thicker. (It kind of makes you wonder why there’s a name for it if it’s just a normal heart though, doesn’t it?)

The even better Zoe news though, is that she slept completely through the night last night. From 8:00 to 6 this morning! Molly and I both think it was probably a fluke, but even so, she was thrilled to have a whole night’s sleep for the first time in over 2 months.

Not too much else going on I guess. We’re still pondering making a move out to the Geneva/Batavia area. We’re going to go take a look at what exists in our price range there. We both really like our current house, but just aren’t thrilled with the neighborhood. Molly especially would like to be in an area where there’s some other moms and kids (our neighbors are all weird crabby people who yell at each other a lot, or odd medical mask wearing people, or old ladies from Chetek, WI {We actually like that last one a lot, but she’s not exactly “playdate” material}).

Now to world politics: for those of you who read my “pirate” entry (see Novemeber 15th ) and were equally concerned, I have some sad news to report. It seems our government, with a total disregard for rising world temeratures has captured a pirate ship off the coast of Somalia. Please take action now by writing your senator and asking them to bring an immediate end to these politictally motivated and ecologically damaging attacks on pirates.
