Back in Colorado

Today was a overall boring day. We drove and will probably eat dinner or swim later but that hasn’t happened yet so I can’t write about it. I can write about the drive though. We started driving at about 7:00, this was later than expected because my mom slept through her alarm. I woke up at about 6:45 and got dressed right away. I was so anxious. We left and went right to Dunkin Donuts for Coffee, Hot Chocolate, and Double Chocolate Doughnuts. The drive was pretty uneventful. I listened to my audiobooks, did some schoolwork, and colored. I had a lot of fun for an ongoing 12.5 hour car ride.

I don’t know if you already read my other post or not but I broke my wrist and I got my cast off yesterday and will wear a removeable brace for the next 1-2 weeks. I doesn’t hurt a lot but it is wrinkly and dry. I have to put on a lot of lotion and exfoliator but overall it is good.

Because there isn’t a lot to write about I’ll write about the rest of the trip. I think that my mom wrote about the change of the trip but if you didn’t read that due to the snow in Colorado we are going to Utah instead. I am now more excited about the trip because I like deserts better than the mountains. So in 4 days we will be in Arches and tomorrow we will be in Estes Park. I am very excited and nervous about the rest of the trip.

Getting back to today we had Burger King for lunch same as usual, disguising but we had no other options except for McDonald’s which is worse so we had Burger King.

It is weird to think about that we will be in Colorado in just over 3 hours and will be at our destination just over 4 hours. By the time this publishes we will already be there.

I wrote that in the car and now we are snuggling up for bed, but before we do so I am going to write about tonight. As soon as we got here we put on our bathing suits and jumped in the beautiful pool. It was curvy and had a little island in the middle. Ellie and I were playing our games of Who Can Stay Under Water The Longest and Marco Polo when we noticed what we thought was a hot tub. Much to our dismay it was a little kid splash zone. After a while of swimming my dad came back with pizza, salad, and ONE set of silverware, I got the fork, my dad got the spoon and my mom got the knife. Overall, we made this day a 1.5 and I would say that, not a whole lot going on.
