Arches National Park

Today was amazing we woke up in Moab with my phone saying 103 way too hot for 6:18.

We drove to Arches and were way to early. That’s a first. We did another 0.4 mile walk to another arch. The arch was called Skyline arch. That was at 8 in the morning and there were 2 Stupid People. Like seriously bro. (Todd that was for you)

After we drove back to the fiery furnace. Ranger Mike and Ellie made eye contact and embraced in the biggest hug. He asked Ellie to be his partner and called her Ranger Ellie! Ellie helped with demonstrations. She helped show how not to bust the crust. “Don’t bust the crust” is one of their slogans. My dad spent a lot of time thinking of new slogans that he included in his post.

The hike was amazing. Ellie and ranger Mike led the way. Our group was 10 times better than last time. There was a family from Belgium which were the sweetest. Also there was a kid and his dad, 2 scientists, and another couple.

Pause. The Spoke has a hummas plate with a god awful amount of hummus. We ordered it: Then we ordered extra dippables, and more. But then when they brought the second one it came with more hummus.

Now what will we do?

So anyway the fiery furnace was amazing. There was scrambling and climbing it was oh so fun. One of the cutest parts was when we approached skeleton arch the little boy form Belgium said Oh La La. I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone say that before. The end was amazing. We came around the corner to surprise arch. We all wrote down what kept us going and I said Ellie. Then he told us about his first national park and that got me in tears.

After we went up to balanced rock and then went back to the visitors center to get our permit. We got the permit to hike the fiery furnace by ourselves. After we went to the spoke for appetizers and blog posts we will go to Zax for dinner and then swimming. It was a fun day.
