This morning morning we woke up at 6:45 grabbed breakfast and were off to mug house.
We did the mug house tour last year and it was just as amazing. Our Ranger was ranger Kialey. She was very informative. She told us that it is named mug house because when the wetherill brothers found it they found 20 something mugs in it. When the ranger showed us a picture of some of the mugs that they found was double and the ranger said she thinks it was for shot ski as a joke. That made me think of home and especially Uncle Todd. (Thabks Uncle Todd for being a good role model) It was two stories and was made out of stone. It was really impressive to see the kiva with the original plaster still on it. In fact most of the first story had plaster on it. Also, on the way down we saw a pictograph. The hike decended about 100 feet over the mile.
We keep track of stupid people and here is one.
When we got back up we drove back to the ABC Cafe and I got delicious pesto pasta. We then went to City Market to do some grocery shopping. We have the city Market card considering those are only out west. We swam and took out pizza hut. I guess there is a first time for everything. We then surprised Ellie with moose and more. Tomorrow we are waking up early and hiking at natural bridge. Today was a fun day.
So I need to add a bit more. We were going to surprise Ellie with moose and more. When we drove past the dairy Queen like we told Ellie we would go to. And arrived at moose and more. We parked across the street and I said we should walk on the other side that way Ellie wasn’t suspicious. We walked in and picked our flavors. Ellie acted surprised and so did I. When we picked our flavors Ellie and I said “surprise” at the same time. Apperaently Ellie knew also. Anyway, the ice cream was delicious.
We saw this amazing rainbow on the way in.
