This morning I had a hard time waking up. Well actually at 6:20ish I opened my eyes but was still asleep. When I looked over I noticed that my dad wasn’t there. I was super freaked but but relived when a couple minutes later he came in saying good morning.
About 6:58ish we were on the road. The Hubbell Trading Post had it’s highs and lows. Some highs were the turkey which looked super uncomfortable and it’s red thing was super long. Oh, and the gobbles were amazing. The trading Post was also cool. I expected it to be a bit bigger. Some lows were the mass amount of ants literally CRAWLING on you and the super hard Jr Ranger packet that you aren’t allowed to ask for help with. Some other things worth mentioning are that we got there a bit before the park opened so we walked around a bit. We came to the Root cellar when Ellie opened the door and said proudly: “This is a guys office” thank Jesus Ben David that he wasn’t in there.
After we drove to Petrified Forest national park. It was unlike anything I have ever seen. The trees were stone. The even looked like trees. But they were hard. Also I found it really sweet all of the apology letters. One kid said that he had a blister the size of his had on his foot and he was breaking up with his girlfriend. Although that is no excuse for stealing 4.5 pounds of Petrified wood. We did the driving tour and hiked about 3 miles. The end of the hike was amazing there was an anseatral pueblon house made out if Petrified wood. Pretty amazing.
After we drove to the hotel to go swimming. We went to Jerry’s Cafe for dinner. It was a 4 star day I’m the Knott house!!
