Today was burro fest! It’s really hard to explain on perfect detail. This morning I was texting my friends and their plans were hanging out, working and swimming. Mine was Burro fest. As I told them about it I was met with questions like what is that? And can you ride them?
Basically the burros enter one at a time. It’s a great big Burro party. Big burros, little burros, white burros, black burros, smart burros, stupid burros. ALL TYPES OF BURROS. My favorite was Danny. Danny was very special. He was supposed to be number one but got to scared. His costume was a little duck hat with his ears poking out. It was adorable. I want to get a little crib for it and cradle it and love it.
The obstacle course got very elaborate the past few years with rhe most challenging challenge still being crossing the water. I think three total did it but with lots of carrots, cheers, and stubbornness.
One pf my favorite parts is the crowd. Everyone gets so into it. Saying outlook whay they think the burros are thinking. They cheer. They boo. I love them. Most of them were over the age of 60 and everyone knew everyone. I want to be a Burro spectator when I grow up. I would own them but I don’t think anywhere I want to live even knows what a Burro is. I can bring some culture to New York and DC.
After a long tiring day it finally started storming(!) qnd we headed back to the house. I spent most of the afternoon getting ahead in school and watching friends. We all made dinner as usual and now we are watching Floor is Lava!!!
