The day I had a two story hotel room

Today started by waking up in a Kimpton. This is always a great way to start the day. But the day just got better. Portland is known for donuts and beer. So we set off for voodoo donuts. If you are ever in Portland you must try them. We walked around the city and to fulfill my request we went back to Powell’s. This time we even got to go in the rare books room were we saw Lewis and Clark’s journals. We walked around some more and went in the cutest shops that I actually liked and I am not a fan of shopping. By the time we got back to the hotel it was noon and that was just supposed to be a outing for donuts. So we loaded up the car and then hit the road for Baja fresh. Lucky we usually have PB j and c no matter what. Also it has been 4 years since we have had it. Next we went to a memorial sight were we toured a house. I am not quite sure who’s its was because I kind of blanked on everything we learned from the tour. After that we went to the hotel you choose if you want to enter from floor 7 or 8 we started with 8. When you walk in you right away find a full bath and then my parents room and the desk. Go downstairas and there is a coach that turns into a bed. A bar and half bath but the best part is the secret rooms. In each room is a bean bag chair and blanket and a table. At least that is what mine has. Read Zoe’s post to hear about hers. For the rest of the day I chilled in the room. at one point we got dinner from a food truck. My parents went out for dinner and me and Zoe watched TV.

  1. Hi, Ellie! Here’s a riddle for you!

What can run but never walks; has a mouth but never talks; has a head but never cries; has a bed but never sleeps?
