Climbing a Mountain

Today we climbed a mountain. It was a lot of fun. I would probably would never of climbed a mountain if it weren’t for this trip. All I saw was beautiful mountains. Today on the hike I got a lot of exercise. We were at the very top of a mountain. I felt very exited when I got to the top. There was a lot of snow, so much snow that my foot got stuck. There was also a lot of rocks it was a lot easier to hike through rock than it was snow. For lunch I had Peanut Butter and Jelly. The top scary because we were 11,400 feet off the ground. It was also fun because we had hiked to the top of a mountain and I could be the queen of the world. I saw a lot of mountains and I also saw our hotel from the top. We hiked in the Twin Sister Peaks. There was a washout two years ago. We had to hike in the washout. It was very difficult because if you put your foot in a place where a rock wasn’t sturdy you could fall to the bottom of the washout. Ellie and I used hiking sticks made out of tree branches that we found on the ground to help keep our balance. I feel very proud of myself.
